Autumn Self Care

It’s that cosy time of year where the air is crisp, the sun still shines a little and the leaves are hues of red and brown. Like many of you, I’ve had a busy summer. It’s always I season I look forward to.

In recent years, I’ve learnt to appreciate time by myself. I used to hate my own company but now, I look forward to it!

I feel it’s important to keep self care a priority at this time of year. The mornings are tough and the evenings become increasingly dark, it’s easy to slip out of routine and become a hermit. I know that SAD effects many people as the season changes so it’s great if you can find something to keep you happy.

Here are some ways that I hygge at home during this season:

~ Soft, comfy PJs and fluffy slippers
~ Warm drinks and treats

~ Cosy blankets
~ Meditation
~ Spice Scented Candles
~ Keeping a journal
~ Reading a book
~ Spending time with family and friends
~ Taking myself to a coffee shop
~ Autumn walks
~ Long, candlelit bubble baths
